NO KINGS VOTE EARLY
Saturday October 17
March to G Street Plaza from all directions of Davis with signs of protest & solidarity as we join with folks across the nation to uphold democracy and promote early voting.
At G Street plaza from 2 to 4pm we will celebrate the Power, Pride, and Joy of voting at this No Kings BYOB (Bring Your Own Ballot) event including:
● Voter information services: Register to vote/Check your registration/Learn about the propositions
● Kids will decorate crowns and signs with a “future voter” kid parade to follow.
● Show off your signs and costumes with our Runway Walk and No Kings Photo Booth.
● Opportunities for action include ways to help Protect the Vote nationwide, increase voter turnout & make sure every vote is counted.
A March to the Ballot Drop Box follows, with a joyful wave of early voting!
Woodland’s BYOB (Bring Your Own Ballot) event will be on the Old Courthouse lawn at 725 Court Street. We'll be celebrating with music, dancing, hope, joy and pride in early voting.
Wear your favorite superhero costume because voting is your super power. Voters can bring their ballots to vote early delivering your ballot to the ballot box right across the street in the post office parking lot. There will be photo opportunities for social media posts to encourage others to vote early too.
You can also find help to understand what’s on their ballot, get assistance with voting, and join in solidarity to take action to protect everyone’s right to vote. Everyone is encouraged to bring signs that express their views as well as their ballots.
Indivisible Yolo WSAC members and community volunteers will host a nonpartisan Early Vote Fest at Trinity Church @ 1500 Park Blvd. This BYOB open house will feature no speeches or campaigning.
We’ll celebrate democracy and the right to vote with snacks, beverages, and family-friendly activities for kids. Attendees can meet community members, learn more about what’s on the ballot, check their voter registration, get help if they are first-time voters, and find out more about early voting in Yolo County. Centered on helping neighbors get ready to vote early, the event is part of the nationwide No Kings Vote Early movement.
Our goal is to encourage the largest early-voter turnout possible and help ensure every eligible voter’s ballot is counted. Information will also be available on how to get involved in our programs locally.
